Hi All, Have gone to this place several times when it was Christine's. Christine's was a subpar place at this location, though it has a very nice location/ building. Christine's main location is in Yardley, Pa and is quite exceptional. So Piero's is bar far much better than the previous mentioned. I have only gone to the new place once and for lunch. This ia not a good lunch deal. No special lunch menu and not a big gathering place for business lunches. That being said, the food was still very good. It has good dinner portions and it is also BYOB. The menu consists of American and Italian entrees and not a big selection. But they do it right. I hope this place survives, as I will be back, when I am back in town...so stay tuned! MSZ

Love this place! My boyfriend and I go here like twice a month, and have never not been completely satisfied. The food is always delicious no matter what I get, but I am obsessed with the antipasto platter! Additionally, the staff is awesome. No matter who is serving us, everyone there seems genuinely happy we are there. Being in the service industry, I tend to have a high standard, but these guys always deliver. If you want a guaranteed table on a weekend night you would be wise to make a reservation. It gets packed. Also, its BYOB. I recommend this place to everyone!

Had the Cavatelli Molise. The pasta looked hand-rolled, but I could be wrong. Served with broccolli rabe and sausage meat. Sausage was ground into pasta sauce. It was pretty good. Our waitress was pleasant and easy to deal with, especially since we had a larger party. BYOB.

I ventured here for a work party and I was pleasantly surprised about the location set in a cute little neighborhood off of the busy Huntington Pike. I thought the restaurant itself had nice decor, looked classy, and had a nice ambience. It was a smaller size restaurant I'm not sure what the capacity is but it looks something between 60 and maybe 75. It had that candlelit romantic feel inside with lighting and furniture and would probably be a good place for a date or quiet evening with a loved one. The menu was quite extensive and had a lot of options for Italian fare. I chose one of the weekly specials which was an Ahi tuna with a wasabi glaze on top of rice. The food came timely and everyone's meal looked really delicious. The appetizers that we ordered were also good - no complaints with the fried calamari and meat and cheese tray. I liked that it was a BYOB which meant that we could enjoy wines of our own selection with dinner. One thing I thought was pretty weird was that one of the girls ordered porkchops but there was no steak knife for her to cut it with even when we asked the waiter he said they did not have any. Overall it was a really good experience and I might return there sometime for a special occasion. The price point for most of the dishes were low to high 20s so I think this for me would be a special occasion only type of place.

If there were more stars, Piero's would get them. We were a party of 4 celebrating a Birthday. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the bruschetta was perfect with just the right amount of garlic. Three in our party had some variation of seafood with pasta and EVERYONE loved their meals; I thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes with NO filler and done to perfection. There was not one negative thing I could say about the restaurant. Absolutely an excellent choice and we'll definitely go back.

We had my daughters bridal shower here and I have to say I never leave reviews, but I just had to this time. We had the most amazing time, the food was excellent, the private banquet room was beautiful with it's own entrance, coat room and his and hers bathroom. The service was outstanding thank you Jason you out did yourself. This place is a must try and it's a byob. Donna

Not a restaurant that will be accommodating or allow options. Restaurant Management needs a lesson on Ettiquette! Menu is limited on weekends. Does not offer you the same choices on Sun. thru Thurs.

This place is awful, disgusting and atrocious. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. The main points of the terrible night with family. There are many more points that will be added. The waiter (Jason) was obnoxious. He needs to tone it down. And have respect for people, call them ma'am and sir, not whatever that surly thing you referred to us as. This not a bar in the northeast. We got appetizers in a timely fashion. When it came to getting our entrees, we waited ONE HOUR! We watched people who were seated after us finish their desserts before we got our entrees! To compensate for the long wait, we got an extra basket of bread. oh gee thanks, could you spare it? We had to ask for water more than one time. You should not have to ask for water, ever! No explanation, no "I'm really sorry", No acknowledgement of any type from anybody, no manager, no owner, no chef - we were completely ignored while everyone else in the restaurant got their meals and desserts! When they finally arrived, the entrees were terrible, absolutely disgusting. The menu said "ham steak" what we got (as told us by Josh) was "ham shank". We got shafted is what we really got! The menu had the word "steak" on it, not "shank". That is False Advertising! What they really did was serve everyone else in the restaurant the good ham steak and gave us the fat, dried out, salty, left over pieces and argued with us that it was ok to eat, that that is how ham shank is suppose to be. Telling us "it was a spiral cut this year, not a 'football' shaped ham." That is EXACTLY the lie we were told - EXACTLY! An elderly lady didn't even GET her meal! They completely forgot about her. When we told Josh he asked "What did you order?" Is this man for real? He wrote it down! Look at what you wrote down! He brought her out something that she couldn't eat and never asked for! She ended up not getting her entree until THREE HOURS after we sat down! Way to go Piero's not feeding an 84-year-old lady for three hours! Bang up job you're doing, bang up! We had just finished eating the last bite, I believe the three-hour entree was still actually being consumed when the ignorant waitress (Josh must have gone home to enjoy dinner with his family for he was nowhere to be seen ever again) threw the bill on the table. Yep, she threw it down and walked away! Hello, uh what about dessert? and coffee?! Oh sorry, you're cleaning up for the night? Well you should have thought about that before you ignored us and made us wait for our food! Obviously you didn't calculate that we wouldn't be finished eating until you were cleaning up for the night. This restaurant is an absolute disgrace!

Wow. So, I reserved a table for three so my mom, brother, and I could spend a nice, stress-free thanksgiving dinner out. They sat us at what seemed to be a makeshift table (the table top rocked when you touched it) right outside the kitchen. There was also a stale smell coming from what may have been mildewy carpet around that corner, it being right outside the kitchen. My mom and brother immediately complained about the smell. We asked to be moved because there were plenty of other tables available when we walked in. The waitress said they were all taken by reservations. I don't believe that cause I made a reservation on open table and they still had reservations open after I made mine. Miffed by such poor service from the start, we decided simply to leave. I have only ever left two restaurants in my entire life before even starting a meal cause something was so aggravating, I'd lost my appetite. This chalks it up to three, and on thanksgiving no less! Ridiculous. Such a crappy table shouldn't even exist. I'm not sure what kind of game they were playing at but anyone would be offended to be seated in such a dingy corner. It makes you feel like you're sitting in the servant's corner. I should also mention that there were no lights in that area. It was quite literally a dark corner by the kitchen with no tables next to it. Food: N/A -- We didn't even get to try it cause their awful service ruined our appetite and we had to leave before our entire Thanksgiving dinner was ruined. Service: 0/5 -- I couldn't even give them a 1 out of 5; That's how bad that table was. Atmosphere: 0/5 -- Granted the rest of the restaurant looked nice, the table they sat us at was atrocious. Overall: 0/5 -- If I could, I'd give them a zero. I'm not even being nitpicky here. Seating is usually not a big deal but when someone seats you in a dark, dingy, smelly corner near the kitchen and you have to look onwards at all the other happy customers seated several yards away in the well-lit, nicely decorated area, it really kills your appetite and mood. Forget the food. If they have the nerve to offer that table to customers, no food, however good, will redeem them.

I have been to this restaurant several times and while the food is generally good, the service is hit or miss, good to terrible. My recent experience left me so upset that I will not return. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to be served during this time the waitress advised us three times over a 30 minute period of the that the meal was coming right out when she hadn't even checked. We entered the restaurant at the same time as another family and they left after being served long before our meal arrived. The waitress gave us an attitude as if we had no right to be upset. The manager took nearly 10 minutes to come over to our table to discuss our displeasure and made excuses about the service and never asked how she could fix this, or admit they screwed up and was borderline angry. I would never go back. One more thing, after all that wait my food came out cold.

Went there for my wife's 50th B-day dinner. Food was good but the service was bad. There was only 6 of us in our party and they were not that busy. They somehow forgot to serve my mom her salad and when the main dishes came out he somehow manged to forget one. We asked for more bread at dinner and that never arrived either. I went back the next day to let off some steam and the manager( I assume) could really seem to care less. Never ever going back again. Extremely disappointed. Telling everyone I know about my bad experience at this restaurant.

My first visit to Piero's, to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday: a small party of 6, reservations made ahead of time, for a table near the window. My husband and I arrived first, and were to be seated in a booth for 6, immediately next to the entrance, next to a window... but the one separating the reception area from the main dining room. Not the window my friend had in mind, when she made reservations. The hostess did a great job rearranging seating, to enable us to get a spacious table further in the dining room, with plenty of elbow room and breathing space - thank you! But that was about all the credit I can give to Piero's: the service was quite slow, even though the restaurant was not at capacity: we arrived at 6:30 pm. The person who delivered to miserly bread basket to our table had no personality or desire to engage with guests, and literally slid the basket across the table. The prices were a bit high for the area and the unusual location [felt like it was the first house in a residential development which was recently completed]. The saving grace is this is a BYOB, else our bill would have been beyond astronomical. The appetizers were a typical Italian fare of calamari and antipasti - nothing in the form of unusual flavors or unique presentation that set these apart. For the main course, we ordered 5 halibut specials at $35 a pop, and I selected Zuppa di Pesce [i.e. frutti di mare with linguini] at $26. They had only 3 specials left (?!?) so we eliminated one, and replaced another. When the food (finally!) arrived, I found my Zuppa lacking seafood for the quoted price: enough calamari and little neck clams, but not enough shrimp or crabmeat. Also, everyone unanimously said the halibut was dry, tasteless and lukewarm, and the portion was not worth the price. We called the waitress, and pointed out the problem: we insisted the birthday boy's entrée be replaced, but no one else wanted to wait forever for another dish. I hinted the desserts for the "sufferers" should be on the house. We ordered coffee and dessert [with a candle for the big boy]. Long story short: nothing was comp'd, not the birthday boy's entrée, not the desserts, nada! No one from the kitchen or management stopped by to connect with the disappointed customers [plural - customerS]. Clearly, the owners are not concerned about repeat business. And I know none of the diners in our group will go out of our way to return.

First and foremost I must mention the fact that this place is BYOB. Awesome. Formerly Christine's Restaurant, this place was bought by new owners and renovated very nicely. As an appetizer, my friend and I shared a walnut encrusted baked brie, with fruit, followed by the house salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Both were very good and I loved the fact that the house salad came with goat cheese, strawberries, and walnuts. For dinner, I had the chicken Chesapeake over linguine. The dish consisted of chicken crab meat and shrimp all in white wine sauce which was truly delicious. The waitress was great and the atmosphere was soo relaxed. My friend ordered the chocolate molten cake for dessert and that was really good as well. I hope this place is still open because I want to throw my 25th birthday party here. The only reason I would think it would close is because it is in a remote location and nobody knows of it.

I had been to this location a few times around the time when they first opened and at that time the food was pretty good. Went there recently and WOW WHAT A TERRIBLE CHANGE. My husband and I went, just the two of us (only about 10 other people on a Thursday night), for an anniversary dinner: FIRST: our waiter was incredibly rude and we never saw him after he took our order he hid in the kitchen or was outside smoking we had to ask other waiters for our food, water, and if they could send our waiter to the table. SECOND: we ordered the anti pasta for an app (no bread included),which wasn't even enough for one person, olives were smushed & not edible, roasted pepper (yes 1 small slice) was mush and the cheese was molding (not like a good blue cheese) which I actually got seriously sick from THIRD: our dinner came out 35 minutes after the app (at this time still no water and no waiter and pretty upset) I ordered the shrimp skewers, the shrimp was so burnt and cold I couldn't even get them off the burnt wooden skewers, the mash potatoes were scooped out of a bin with a ice cream scooper and were definitely imitation, but above that, they were so hard and cold that I was actually hitting them hard with the back of my fork and the ball wasn't breaking! the vegetables were cold and smothered in butter so they were sliding all over the plate. My husband had the chicken parm which tasted like the cafeteria fake chicken but we ate the overcooked pasta together since we were starving FOURTH: with all of these problems, still starving and thirsty and looking for the waiter, nothing on our bill was compensated for, the manager would not come to our table to talk to us OVERALL: this place was good when they first opened, now, poor actually horribly terrible quality. will never ever go back

Went there for a 60th Birthday party Saturday Nite around 5:30 PM. We had a party of 8, I brought 3 bottles of wine. I had the Veal Carciofi, it was Excellent! Everyone else's food was good too. Highly recommend this place.

I liked everything I tried here. The exterior of the restaurant is nice with each tree that lines the sidewalk lit up with white christmas lights. To start we had the mini crab cake appetizer which came with three mini crab cakes over a creamy white sauce with pieces of tomatoes along side a small bed of greens. The crab cakes were very tender and juicy and the sauce was very complementary to the cakes. Somewhere on the menu it says that Piero's is famous for their crab cakes. Now I see why. For dinner I had the Chesapeake which allows for a choice of chicken or veal. I went with the chicken. It was in a delicious sauce that interestingly smelled like an asian peanut sauce. The chicken was topped with lump crab meat and shrimp and came with their vegetables of the day, squash, zucchini and carrots and mashed potatoes. Everything went really well together. My date had the tortellini, which was deliciously cheesy in a white alfredo-ish sauce. I usually am not a fan of stuffed pasta, but Piero's obviously knows what they are doing. Like another reviewer mentioned, all of their sauces are on point! To complete our delicious meal we shared the pumpkin cheesecake and cappuccino, which was a perfect ending. I will definitely return to Piero's to sample some more of their menu! Also, Piero's is a BYOB which I always love

This place is a local gem! The setting and ambience is gorgeous, newly renovated, on par with anything in Center City. The location is easy to find, has lots of parking, and I like that it's a bit more removed from the usual strip mall settings found in the 'burbs. I've tasted different things off the menu and loved them all, but my favorite are the crab cakes, full of crab and very little filler. I held my 40th party here in the banquet room, with excellent service and BYOB. I've since been to two other banquet events (a baby dedication and a confirmation), and both were top notch, as well. The restaurant is stellar!!!

From apps to desserts, everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was top notch. Prices were reasonable for the high level of quality and flavor. We cannot wait to return.

I recently was at Piero's on Saturday 1/14/12. It was an OK experience, nothing to get excited about. The atmosphere was ok but more importantly the food was very average. I had a chicken dish and my partner had the rigatoni. It lacked spice but the portion was plentiful. What really bothered me the most was the fact that the service lacked greatly. We had a server who also was the front hostess. She was polite enough but was taken in other directions due to the fact she was doing two jobs. The kitchen was very slow with the food and by the time it came out, it was cold. I don't know if I would go back there again. Maybe I will give them another try in about a month, enough time to maybe get more staff.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
